What method do you use for cleaning?
The method we use for cleaning is hot water steam extraction, commonly referred to as steam cleaning. This method removes the toughest, deepest dirt safely and gently. Hot, soft water and a specially formulated cleaning solution are injected deep within the carpet fibers. Then, a powerful suction extracts deep-down dirt, allergens, cleaning solution and most of the moisture. It’s the cleaning method most recommended by carpet manufacturers.
What do you consider an area?
An area is any room that is up to 250 square feet. Living room/dining room combos are typically considered a double area. Any area over 250 square feet but less than 500 square feet is priced as two areas. Non-standard areas (baths, halls, landings, walk-in-closets, etc.) are priced separately from the standard areas, usually at a lesser price.
Is carpet cleaning your prime area of expertise?
Although we pride ouselves on our quality of carpet cleaning, and the distinguishable difference between us and our competitors, our company is so much more than just carpet cleaning. We excel at many different areas, and are highly certified to take care of you and exceed expectations in all of the services we provide.
How long will it take to clean my carpet?
The average four area carpet cleaning job takes approximartely 1.5 hours, give or take 15-20 minutes based on logistics such as empty house vs. house full of furniture, first floor vs. second floor, and the amount of soil saturation.
How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
How long before I can walk on my wet carpet?
It does not harm carpet at all to walk on it when it's wet. You just want to be careful when stepping from damp carpet onto a smooth surface to avoid a slip and fall hazard. We sometimes recommend placing a towel at the entrance of the smooth surface to dry your feet on and also remind you that you're stepping off of damp carpet.
Do you move furniture?
There are certain items we are allowed to move, and certain items we're not allowed to move, such as: breakables, beds, and dressers Beds, because they must be properly dissassembled in order to move because if not damage to legs, and or frame can easily occur by sliding. Dressers, mrely because of the weight of them. Although our technicians may be strong enough to move your dresser out, clean behind it, and slide it back, the weight of the dresser would crush the foam blocks that allow your carpet to dry.
Do I need to be there for the cleaning?
No, it's not necessary for you to be there for the cleaning. We have actually had customers call from out of state that leave us with a code or a location of a hidden key to get in. And others have met us there to start the work but have left shortly after. We lock up when we leave, making sure everything is left safe and secure how we found it, and we can even take a credit card for payment over the phone.
Why do your prices vary from other carpet cleaners?
When comparing prices, our prices reflect our quality and guarantee of customer satisfaction. We may not be the cheapest around, but we are the best..Our steam cleaning machines are some of the hottest in the business, putting out 230-250 degree hot water steam vs. a typical company whose equipment puts out around 150-200 degree hot water steam.
I have had my carpet cleaned, but the spots have reappeared. What should I do?
Although most spots that are removed from carpet do not reappear, some substances in carpet backing may wick to the surface after cleaning. If this happens, please contact us as soon as possible. How often should I get my carpets cleaned?
The carpet manufacturers Shaw & Mohawk recommend consumers get their carpets cleaned at least once a year to maintain and protect, as well as prevent unnecessary wear. They value this so much that the new carpet warranties actually require that customers follow the yearly cleaning recommendation (12-14 months) to clean and reapply your schotch guard, or else void their warranty. In high traffic areas, or because of wear caused by children and pets, it may sometimes be necessary to get professional cleaning more often than on a yearly basis.
