Rug Cleaning Service

We Offer Rug Cleaning Options

At Desert Rose we understand that your rugs each have their own unique needs. So we offer cleaning solutions for all rugs and all bank accounts. The majority of our rug cleaning takes place in our warehouse where we have a professional rug pit and top of the line equipment to get your rug as thoroughly clean as possible. We take into account during the cleaning whether the rug is made of synthetic material or natural fibers (wool, cotton, or silk), as well as if there are any pet urine or other underlying issues, for which we have a separate complete submersion technique to treat those problems. Cleaning the rugs back in our facility is the most effective choice as our head rug supervisor is able to spend the quality time and attention on your rug that it requires, as well as with equipment and an environment specifically set up for best rug cleaning possible. This is obviously a little more per square foot. If none of the options in our facility fit yout budget however, we can do a basic surface steam cleaning for you in your home that is a minimal charge per square foot.

Puppy dog issues? No Problem

Desert Rose is proud to be an exclusive provider of the six step submersion cleaning process, with an additional step that is necessary if the rug was pet damaged or urine stained. Here are the step-by-step details of our facility rug cleaning procedures:

Step 1. Rug Badger.

The machine we use is called the RugBadger. Which is a powerful machine designed to deliver 40,000+ penetrating harmonic vibrations per minute deep into the back of a rug. It shakes loose any dry, heavy, damaging soil & sediments trapped both in the foundation and in between the rug fibers themselves.

*If the rug is pet damaged or urine stained, an additional pre treatment is necessary where the rug is soaked in a urine neutralizing deodrizer. In some extreme cases it is soaked overnight or longer.

Step 2. Wash and Flush.
In many of the various countries where our oriental rugs and carpets are manufactured, the washing is done in a flowing river, where rugs are submerged for hours at a time. Our process essentially replicates this method with a wash pit in which water moves from one end to the other continuously. Mild cleaning agents designed specifically for Oriental rug fibers like silk and wool are massaged deeply into the rug. Unlike a simple bath, our process continuously sends only clean, soft water across the rug.

Step 3. Final Rinse.
The rug is removed from the pit and given a soft water rinse.

Step 4. Drying.
Mild heat and airflow is applied as the rug hangs to dry. Using compressed air, the fibers are given a luxurious fluffing.

Step 5. Grooming the Fringes.
Attention to detail is essential at this stage, so we hand-comb your rugs fringes to ensure that they are properly finished and groomed.

Step 6. Final Inspection.
We maintain the highest standards, so our inspection process is thorough. We don't hesitate to repeat any steps that might be necessary to provide you with the cleanest rug possible.
